Day 2 and 3 peed down with rain. Now I personally don't mind getting my person wet when I am going somewhere necessary, but I really am not stupid enough to deliberately get dressed to go out and stand in a freezing cold deluge for absolutely no other reason that to be able to say I put my backside on a saddle. That and the fact that I would then have to wipe my trike down to dry her so that she doesn't rust anymore than she already is trying to. It just wasn't worth it.
Day 2 - was my Daughter's moving day so along with it raining, I had far too much to do helping her. If it had been a decent day I would have nipped on the bike on first waking up and done a quick circle around the block, but there was no way I was going to be masochistic and get wet before helping with the move for the sake of being able to say I cycled.
Day 3 - I woke up with a stinking headache, and a sore foot from getting it trapped underneath the lorry tailgate the day before. Once again, if it had been a dry day I would have forced myself out for a quick ride.
Day 4 - Today - I had to go and get a fair amount of shopping. On the trike I can carry a great deal back, so I cycled to the local Co-op and managed to bring back 5 heavy bags full of necessities.
I do have to park my trike up a fair way from the front door of the flats and so although getting the shopping from the till and into the trolly - from the trolly into my trike basket, is a piece of cake, getting 5 heavy bags from the bike shed to the front door when suffering with carpal tunnel is a bit of a bummer, so I did it in stages.
But then, on getting myself and the shopping to the main door of the flat, I found that I hadn't taken my front door key. But not to worry we have a tradesmans button that allows entrance on pushing it before midday. I pressed the button but for some reason it didn't work. Could it have been programmed not to work on an Easter Saturday? Who knows! I had to try three of my neighbours buttons before I found one of them in to ask them to let me in.
Thank goodness the lift was working and I never lock my own front door when just popping out quickly.
