I am hoping that this is not a fluke of the scales and that I really have lost 5lbs. If I have then I finally have this losing weight business licked.
I am forcing myself to move around a lot more. I'm deliberately finding things to do that I call "make me potter". I have also now cut out all bread, and instead have substituted Ryvita, along with no longer eating so called "Low Fat" foods which actually contain so much sugar it's ridiculous.
The other thing that I am trying is, believe it or not "nicotine". Quitting smoking as I did 16 months ago piled the pounds on. Nicotine is by itself harmless, and it's nicotine that speeds up the metabolism. Well, it always has been in my case.
Therefore I am deliberately using the electronic cigarette again that I didn't need once I had finally quit smoking cold turkey.
I know many will disagree with me, but all this extra weight I am carrying is as dangerous, if not more dangerous, for risking another heart attack than smoking was.
I am weighing the pros and cons here, and if I keep putting this weight on at the rate I have been the last 16 months since my heart attack, it wont be long before I am morbidly obese. I have therefore had to make a choice. And I have chosen to use nicotine medicinally. So far it seems to be working.
